"Cà d'Zan (/kɑːˌdə.zɑːn/) is a Mediterranean revival residence in Sarasota, Florida, adjacent to Sarasota Bay. Cà d'Zan was built in the mid-1920s as the winter retreat of the American circus mogul, entrepreneur, and art collector John Ringling and his wife Mable Burton Ringling. The name Cà d'Zan means 'House of John'" in the Venetian language, in Italian it would be 'Casa di Giovanni'."

On the White Pass and Yukon Route
"Built in 1898 as a way to expedite travel during the Klondike Gold Rush, the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad is a three-foot-wide narrow gauge railroad that climbs from sea level to almost 3,000 feet in the first 20 miles. An engineering marvel, it features two tunnels and travels over sky-high trestles and bridges. Considered an impossible feat, the railway was completed in 26 months by blasting through the mountains with 450 tons of explosives. The 110-mile railroad was officially completed when a final golden spike was hammered into place on July 29, 1900, in Carcross, Yukon. Fully restored, the comfortable passenger coaches feature large picture windows and are pulled by diesel locomotives"

Part of the circular staircase in the 93-foot-high (28 m) Massachusetts Veterans War Memorial Tower at the summit of Mount Greylock (3,489-foot (1,063-meter)) in northwestern Massachusetts. On a good day, you can see 5 states, but the clouds rolled in as soon as we arrived and we were lucky just to see other mountain ranges.

My husband and I exited the Marble Museum in Proctor, Vermont, only to find a train parked between us and our car in the parking lot. We were unwilling to try to push through the bushes and walk in front of the train so we thought that we would wait it out. The engineer spotted us waiting and backed up the train so that we could cross.
