Besaw Islander (Explored)

Besaw Island, Egypt The inhabitants of this island are predominantly farmers or fishermen. Sunday Challenge: facade Although this is a very simple facade compared to the magnificent temples that we visited in Egypt, the image appealed to me as a result of its simplicity, the matching blue of the window shutters and the man's headwear and the mysterious palm print on the wall. One man - Ten thousand stones

The Incans created narrow terraces on the steep mountainsides from which they grew crops to feed the city. Some of the boulders were too large to move so they just built the retaining walls around them. Machu Picchu is believed to be the estate of a 15th-century Incan emperor. It is located at an altitude of 7,970 feet (2,430 meters) in the Andes mountains of Peru. I climbed from the top to the bottom and back to the top of these terraces, which was rather difficult at this altitude. I owe my success to Diamox (altitude sickness medicine) and a good walking stick. AIMG 0923
