Limb Valley, south-west Sheffield. The little-used footpath descends from the highest point of the wooded northern flank of the Limb Valley into the lovely stand of beeches - my favourites. Compared with the main footpath in the valley floor, relatively few people come this way and it is a very peaceful and lovely spot, a bit like being in a natural outdoor cathedral.
