I'm not sure what those cactusses were arguing about, but the one on the right was clearly upset about something...

One of my favorite cactusses. :D Cristate saguaros are a pretty rare mutation; there are only around 25 in the entire park. (Now I just need directions to the other 24...)

Last time, this was all dry sand/dirt and rocks. This time, there was a tiny little river running right across the trail. :)

I heard the water before I saw it; being in the middle of the desert, it took me a minute to identify the sound. The last time I was here, this was all very dry dirt and rocks; this time, there was a little river meandering along.

First note is that same spot, two years ago; the wash was completely dry, things were less green... And it was a bit later in the day. I started to settle in to watch the sunset until I remembered that I was still a couple of miles away from my car... Oops. >.>
