This window by tradition represents a Benefactor who about the year 1500 left to this Church a piece of land later known as Pedlar's Acre (on which the County Hall now stands) on condition that his image be placed in the Church & repaired from time to time. Mended in 1608; renewed 1703; transferred to this Chapel 1884; destroyed 1941; renewed 1956.

Sacred to the memory of WILLIAM BLIGH esquire F.R.S. Vice Admiral of the blue. The celebrated navigator who first transplanted the bread fruit tree from Otaheite to the West Indies. Bravely fought the battles of his country, and died beloved, respected and lamented on the 7th day of December 1817, Aged 64.

Archbishop of Caterbury (1883-1896) Edward Benson appointed his close friend John Reeve as the Rector of St Mary's in 1894. Reeve commissioned this font in Benson's memory. It is one of only two known examples of an immersion font to be found in an Anglican church.
