Near this Place lieth interred the Body of ROGER POWEL, Gent . who departed this Life 6th Aug'st 1616. He left to this Parish £10 a year, for ever. Viz : One Shilling a week to the POOR. and the residue of the £10 towards the maintenance of a School-master to teach the Poor Men's Children, of the said Parish of STOKESAY.
