For me, this was the best bit of the garden. You walk along a path that seems to become more narrow and shady, when suddenly in front of you is a curtain of back-lit vine leaves framing a sunken garden, with a beautiful fountain and a formal pond . At the back are two huge-leaved tropical trees. You could be in Madeira - or Babylon! Even viewing this photo large doesn't do the scene justice.
