This is the first picture I've taken with a cobbled-together arrangement using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, a 32mm objective lens, and a tube contraption on a 5-inch Celestron mirror telescope. I'm pleased with the results (though the tripod I was using did not allow enough telescope elevation, so I had to shorten a leg considerably -- need to work on that.) JPEG is straight out of the camera, with minimal cropping and no other processing.

Next night, 1/100 and ISO 200. Also, slightly greater magnification due to use of 25mm ocular. Still not close to perfect, but closer. Will be better when winter arrives and the sky is clearer -- and I've more practice doing this!

This stupid light shines right into my living room and I hate it. But at least I got some use out of it while testing the low-light performance of the Fujifilm F70EXR camera. This was taken hand-held with no additional light during a snowstorm. I kind of like it.

500mm Mirror Reflex Nikkor, 1/25 f8, hand-held, ISO 400. Yes, there were about a dozen that suffered from camera movement and were unusable.
