It is a gray day, and I thought I'd take a few minutes to calm my nerves (well, okay, relax some while putting strain on others) by seeing how well the 105nn f2.8 AI-s Micro-Nikkor worked with the TC-14A 1.4-power teleconverter on the D7100. Available light, camera set to manual and auto-ISO.

It is a gray day, and I thought I'd take a few minutes to calm my nerves (well, okay, relax some while putting strain on others) by seeing how well the 105mm f2.8 AI-s Micro-Nikkor worked with the TC-14A 1.4-power teleconverter on the D7100. Available light, camera set to manual and auto-ISO. I do not think it's fair to think of these interesting crustaceans as lice. Lice are arachnids. This one was about a third of an inch long.

Available light, camera set to manual and auto-ISO. This is one of the first I took. Focus is incredibly difficult on moving objects when there is virtually no depth of field.
