Why I was late getting home

A body of water called Federal Creek, about two miles from my house. It was dark -- I'm stunned that the Fuji X-Pro1 was able to produce an OOC jpeg that is much brighter than the scene itself -- and heavy snow was beginning. I took another way around -- and those two miles took me more than two hours to traverse.

There's a river under there

Many hours of hard rain led the ice on the Hocking River to break up. Those ice floes were not moving very fast at all.

You can tell by the faint submerged yellow line where the road is; the small red bit between the pole and the yellow sign at the center, two-thirds up, is a mostly submerged pickup truck. This was on Route 329 between Guysville and Stewart, Ohio. The flooding was expected to worsen over the following two days, as new rains moved into the area.
