This gent. Timothy Windle, is in court on charges of robbery and aggravated assault, which offenses are apparently alleged to have taken place in prison, where he was and is serving a 26-year term. He did not like being photographed. I took the picture while there to cover the arraignment of a young woman charged with setting fire to a house containing a former friend and her two children. Not all butterflies and pastoral scenes here.

Now, late Saturday night, there was word that a hijacked Boeing 747 was on the ground at Kennedy Airport. A passemger claimed that she had a bomb and would blow up the airplane unless she were allowed to talk with Charlton Heston. After several hours, the woman was grabbed by police. There had been two double-murders in Bedford Hills, a well-to-do Westchester County, New York, suburb. We had gotten a tip that a fellow named Junius Gray was suspected of having done the killings.
