Lights coming on, and a prominent Christmas tree pokes out to remind us the photo was taken in late December.

The accessories were chosen by lucky dip.

Beneath the Christmas tree in the piazza, the nativity was set up while I was away. The photo can be accurately dated as pre-Christmas day - baby Jesus is not in the scene yet. We went to mass on Christmas Eve, and when we came out, went to the square, to discover that Jesus had become a part of the scene.

The elf was set up on a chair in the Bomba piazza. Sitting to face the tree and the wonderful nativity scene.

A suburban part of Alberobello. Corners and nooks were lit with scenes and mini stories. Some of a traditional motif, with a bible verse, and some based on local stories and themes.

I avoided the temptation to sleep.

Sharon went above and beyond, and we had the most amazing lunch! Our combined trio of cultures were well represented. Australian, South African, and Dutch.
