The fog did not lift for the whole day. In the time lapse, it takes on a life of its own... The hour of sunrise is condensed in to 1 minute on this video.

Arriving at Laza (Qusarçay Laza) in the fog. We got dropped a few kilometres away, and walked the rest of the way. That afternoon, we never got to see more than a few dozen metres. Us, Çavid, Andrej, and Vusala. All connected because of couchsurfing.

From the gate, there was nothing to see. You could have been standing on a Scottish moor, the mist was so thick. At the end of the famous watercourse in front, still nothing. But as we got nearer, the form of the Taj emerged from a dark shadow and took shape. It was a fraction eerie. It was very surreal. It was certainly not how we expected to see the Taj that morning!
