On a walk later in the holiday we stood at the bottom of the pylon you can see. It is taking electricity from the mainland over to Skye. The ferry doesn't appear to be coming from the other side of the Kyle, but that's cause it has to fight a very strong tidal current. So despite being a very short crossing, the route the ferry takes varies a lot through the day.
