Connel Bridge

Connel Bridge spans Loch Etive between Connel and North Connel. It was originally a railway bridge for the Connel to Ballachulish branch line. Later it was shared between road and rail, but now its just a single track road bridge. Below the bridge you can see the Falls of Lora, which (as you can see) isn't a waterfall, but rather its a set of rapids that is caused by water flowing out of the upper part of Loch Etive into the lower part over a rocky shelf when the tide drops so that the water in the upper part is higher than that in the lower part.

Castle Stalker sits on an island in Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe, near the village of Appin. It actually appears in MP's Holy Grail. The photo was taken from the Jubilee Bridge which is a footbridge crossing the tidal mudflats.
