Caithness slate pallets

Ever wondered what 26 tons of Caithness slate looked like? That's enough at 30mm thick to cover 320 square metres. I bit the bullet and decided it was overdue to re-pave the courtyard, and put a proper seating area outside the dairy. The quarry was supposed to give me 24 hours notice of delivery. That translated into a phone call at 07:15 this morning, to say the truck would be here in 20 minutes! Fortunately I have a forklift man with a can-do attitude, who wasn't unduly perturbed by my early morning panic call to get round here. Next question: is there anyone out there wanting to do some serious grunt work - i.e. Moving and laying 26 tons of slate, in exchange for a guarantee to lose weight on my diet? :-)
