Birnbeck Island. I have memories of this pier when it was still in use and paddle steamer boat trips that left from here. It is sad to see it broken and neglected. December Sunset Burnham Pier, the shortest pier in Britain, bathed in golden light. The pier is over 100 years old and was the first to be constructed with reinforced concrete.
