Next to the three chimneys of the power station you can see the new pressurised heat storage tank (see PiP), in which surplus energy from the power station is stored as around 3000 cubic metres of 130 degree hot water with a heat content of 175 000 kWh (!). In other words, one of Würzburg's contributions to the energy transition.
