Diese Gegenlichtaufnahme eines Moospolsters mit weit herausragenden Sporenträgern machte ich heute Nachmittag als die Sonne eine Weile heraus kam und man den Frühling ahnen konnte. Die Sporenträger entlassen die Sporen, aus denen neue Moospflanzen entstehen, die wieder Sporen bilden. Natürlich ist das ganze Geschehen viel komplizierter als von mir dargestellt. Deshalb habe ich einen sehr informativen (allerdings recht langen) Film auf YouTube herausgesucht, der auch den Bau und die Bedeutung der Moose abhandelt. The sporophyts are releasing the spores that will give rise to new moss plants that will form spores again. Of course, the whole process is much more complicated than I have presented. Therefore I have picked out a very informative (though quite long) film on YouTube, which also deals with the construction and the importance of mosses.
