Heue Vormittag haben meine Frau und ich in einem fränkischen Naturschutzgebiet bei Karlstadt am Main eine Wanderung gemacht. Wir wollten mal wieder intakte Natur erleben und vor allem Insekten, insbesondere Schmetterlinge, beobachten. Und aus heiterem Himmel flatterte einer der ganz seltenen Schmetterlinge Deutschlands über den Weg: ein Segelfalter (Iphiclides podalirius) . Bei ganz ungünstigen Bedingungen (immer wieder stark böiger Wind und wechselnde Besonnung) gelang mir ein kleines Photoshooting (siehe PiPs). In Deutschland und Österreich ist diese Falterart stark bedroht und steht auf den Roten Listen. Der Segelfalter ist unter anderem auf trockenen Magerrasen oder in felsigen Gegenden mit Gebüschen anzutreffen. Seine Eier legt er sehr gerne an Krüppel-Schlehbüschen ab. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segelfalter This morning my wife and I went on a hike in a Franconian nature reserve near Karlstadt am Main. We wanted to experience intact nature again and especially to observe insects, especially butterflies. And out of the blue one of the very rare butterflies of Germany fluttered across the path: a scarce swallowtail (Iphiclides podalirius) . Under very unfavorable conditions (always strong gusty wind and changing sunshine) I succeeded in a small photo shooting (see PiPs). In Germany and Austria this butterfly species is highly endangered and is on the red lists. The scarce swallowtail can be found on dry grassland or in rocky areas with bushes. It likes to lay its eggs on crippled blackthorn bushes.

Er beginnt bei der Quelle des Mains in Oberfranken, begleitet den Fluss und endet an der Einmündung des Mains in den Rhein. Die Aufnahme entstand in der Nähe von Karlstadt am Main mit Blick auf die Kalkbastionen und Weinberge auf der anderen Mainseite. The Main cycle path runs through this magnificent landscape. It begins at the source of the Main in Upper Franconia and ends at the confluence with the Rhine. The picture was taken near Karlstadt am Main with a view of the limestone bastions and vineyards on the other side of the Main.
