Die Heimat der Distelfalter sind die subtropischen Steppengebiete Nordafrikas. Im Frühjahr beginnen die Falter nordwärts (über die Alpen!) zu wandern und erreichen sogar den hohen Norden Europas. Das ist richtig weltmeisterlich!
