Interessant ist bei dieser im Frühjahr blühenden Pflanzenart, dass es Individuen mit langem Stempel (wie im Foto) und tief sitzenden Staubblättern und solche mit kurzem Stempel und hoch sitzenden Staubblättern gibt. Diese Erscheinung wird Heterostylie genannt. Sie soll Nachbarbestäubung auf einer Pflanze vermeiden helfen. Die Blüten werden durch Schmetterlinge und Bienen/Hummeln bestäubt. This phenomenon is called heterostyle. It is said to help avoid neighbour pollination on a plant. The flowers are pollinated by butterflies and bees/bumblebees. Diese Aufnahme mit einem Großen Wollschweber (Bombylius major), der an einer Schlüsselblume (Primula veris) Nektar saugt, gelang mir am sonnigen Rand eines Eichenmischwalds. Im PiP sieht man einen Schnappschuss: Kurz vor dem hier gezeigten Bild machte ich schon eine Aufnahme am gleichen Objekt. Man sieht auf ihr den gleichen Wollschweber im Anflug, allerdings ist nur der starre Saugrüssel zu sehen. Schweber sind keine Bienen; sie werden den Fliegen zugeordnet! On it you can see the same large bee-fly hovering in approach, but only the rigid suction trunk is visible. Bee-flies are not bees; they are assigned to the flies! Their size is about 1 cm.
