Dieses Plattbauch-Libellen Weibchen (Libellula depressa) auf einer toten Birke konnte ich bei einer Wanderung beobachten und ablichten. Bei den Plattbauch-Libellen ist der Hinterleib stark abgeflacht und bei den Weibchen gelb-braun, bei den Männchen blau gefärbt. An einem Weiher in einem Eichenwald fand ich diese männliche Plattbauch-Libelle (Libellula depressa) auf einem Schilfblatt sitzend und auf Beute lauernd. Bei der vorsichtigen Annäherung flog sie sofort auf. Auch bei wiederholtem vorsichtigen Anschleichen konnte ich nie besonders nah an die Libelle heran kommen. Den Grund sah ich beim Durchmustern der Bilder: Die Libelle kann ihren Kopf vollständig drehen, so dass sie eine Person, die sich annähert, schon längst im Fokus hat! Im Foto sieht man den um 90 Grad verdrehten Kopf, beide Facettenaugen schauen nach links in Richtung des Fotografen (siehe Notiz). Welch eine Wunderwelt!
