Auf seine Spitze führt die berühmte Wendeltreppe, die 1964 nach dem Vorbild der neugotischen Treppe von 1843 rekonstruiert wurde. Wenn man die 153 Stufen erklommen hat, bietet sich ein Rundblick über Spandau und Umgebung, bis nach Tegel, zur Berliner Innenstadt und zum Grunewald. From the top, the view of the fortress complex and the river Havel takes the breath away. In good weather you can see as far as the Berlin TV Tower.
