Ein Blick ins neue Jahr ist natürlich unmöglich. Was das neue Jahr bringen wird? Wir können es nicht wissen. Hoffentlich sind es aber Gesundheit und Zufriedenheit für jeden einzelnen von uns und vor allem Frieden auf der Welt. Die Aufnahme entstand im Chinesischen Garten Frankfurt. It is, of course, impossible to predict what lies ahead in the coming year. What will it bring? We cannot say. But we can hope—for health and happiness for each and every one of us, and above all, for peace in the world. The accompanying photo was taken in the Chinese Garden in Frankfurt, a perfect place for reflection and hope as we welcome the New Year.

Dieser fast unglaublich bunte Abendhimmel war an Silvester für nur wenige Minuten in der NÄhe meines Heimatortes zu sehen. Leider hatte ich nur mein Smartphone dabei. This almost unbelievably colourful evening sky was visible for just a few minutes near my home town on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, I only had my smartphone with me.

Bitte vergrößern - Please enlarge Auf der Alten Mainbrücke in Würzburg, einem der schönsten Orte der Stadt, versammeln sich schon am Morgen die ersten Menschen, um die warme Wintersonne und die schöne Aussicht zu genießen. An schönen Tagen können es Hunderte sein, welche sich auf der Brücke tummeln (auch wegen des Weinverkaufs und Verkaufs von Bratwürsten!), was gerade jetzt in der Corona-Pandemie für die Stadt ein großes Problem ist, weil Kontaktbeschränkungen nur schwer durchzusetzen sind. Die Aufnahme machte ich am Silvestertag aus der Kranenbastion heraus, einem Teil der früheren Würzburger Stadtbefestigung, die Fürstbischof Johann Philipp v. Schönborn im 17. Jahrhundert bauen ließ. www.mein-wuerzburg.com/befestigung.htm On the Old Main Bridge in Würzburg, one of the most beautiful places in the city, the first people gather already in the morning to enjoy the warm winter sun and the beautiful view. On nice days, there can be hundreds of them crowding the bridge (also because of wine sales and sales of bratwursts!), which is a big problem for the city right now during the Corona pandemic, because contact restrictions are very difficult to enforce. I took the picture on New Year's Eve from the Kranenbastion, a part of the former Würzburg city fortifications, which Prince-Bishop Johann Philipp v. Schönborn had built in the 17th century.

Eine Begrüßung des neuen Jahres mit Feuerwerk in der Silvesternacht wird es in Deutschland wegen der Corona-Pandemie nicht geben, da wegen der neuen hochansteckenden Omikron-Mutante die Kontaktbeschränkungen wieder verstärkt werden. Erfreuen wir uns also an früheren Bildern und wünschen uns ein gutes, gesundes, neues Jahr 2022! There will be no welcoming of the New Year with fireworks on New Year's Eve in Germany because of the Corona pandemic, as contact restrictions are being tightened again due to the new highly contagious Omicron mutant. So let's enjoy earlier photos and wish ourselves a happy, healthy new year 2022!
