We've been watching this mating pair since a about a month back when we went down to feed the ducks, at that time the dad pictured here was madly protective of the female and the bread we had for her, he stood back and let her eat every crumb. She seemed starving at the time, I'm now we just got a lucky break and caught her off this nest to grab a quick bite.

Sadly only two babies remain when only a week ago there was 5, not uncommon but still sad. This clutch started with 9 we heard. Hope these two do well :)

Babies are sooo Cute! Their fuzzy down looks lovely soon they will be getting tail and wing feather shoots showing :)
