By the time we saw this guy it was raining and getting darkish from the clouds. He was flying around checking us out for a while in the rain then finally landed.

I always prefer natural light and a better back drop for photos, however, I will also always take what I can get :)

I had to cross the small creek running down from Shornden reservoir and into the bramble and nettles for these shots. Well worth a bit of stinging nettles :)
