Not a great shot but a record shot as this tiny sawfly is new for me It is probably about 5-7mm in size.

I really must get ahold of Ian Wallace at the Liverpool Natural History Museum, he is THE caddisfly expert, and let him ID and record some of these. I like this guy, not a bad looker for a Caddisfly.

This maybe an early one, I've been through every one on ukleps.org and can't find anything like him. We measured him but due to the curve on him, its going to be approx 10-15mm. He was found on light so probably nocturnal. Thanks to Charley over at HantsMoths for the ID on this guy at spieces level of Sawfly, its likely to be Periclista pubescens although I'm not 100% on that.

Here's hoping these don't get mowed down like two years ago (haven't seen one in that area of Combe Haven since) in an effort to keep the dog walkers happy at the expense of the wildlife management.

Smaller then a push pin by far!!
