After seeing the White Admiral, something I had been told was in this patch but never seen, I decided to do some watching of the Oaks nearby as the White Admiral will come in and out of the canopy and noticed at least a dozen or more of these flitting around in the Oaks.

We literally saw these by the 10's of them, I think I would estimate we saw around 30 - 40 throughout the day, including areas like the wild walk way by the Fernside Tesco, areas off Harley Shute that are not part of the SSSI, and Combe Haven SSSI.

There seemed to be good numbers of these this year, but I've not managed to find as many hanging around the lower branches as last year.
