Grey Dagger Caterpillar -Front

27 Jul 2009 112
I'm not entriely sure if he emerged from the web like egg looking structure or just happens to be near it here, but he is very young, he'll grow from his current 5-8mm to 30-40mm in length before he pupates.

City of Angels

No idea what flower this is, but it reminds me of the movie when the angels watch sunset on the beach :) Update: Thanks to Down the Road of Life for the ID on this photo as Narcissus.

Sawfly Larva - Periclista pubescens

01 Jun 2010 151
This maybe an early one, I've been through every one on ukleps.org and can't find anything like him. We measured him but due to the curve on him, its going to be approx 10-15mm. He was found on light so probably nocturnal. Thanks to Charley over at HantsMoths for the ID on this guy at spieces level of Sawfly, its likely to be Periclista pubescens although I'm not 100% on that.

Lovely Yellow Jumping Spider Side

I fell deeply and madly in love with this little chap. Gorgeous spider, I've yet to find an ID for. Any help appreciated. Update: Thanks to several of my contacts for all the help in IDing this gorgeous creature as Evarcha falcata, Male. I haven't heard from Andy Phillips as yet but I think he will agree with this diagnosis :) A new contact ( Jones J E ) seems to be quite the 'Spider Guy' himself and I reckon since he had one jump on him as a youngster thats as good a reason as any to agree with his ID...lol

Yellow Fly
