In Santana (Santana = historische Abkürzung für Santa Anna) ist heute bekannt für die kleinen, traditionellen, mit Stroh bedeckten Bauernhäuser (Casas do Colmo = Häuser mit Halmen = halmbedeckte Häuser). Heute werden diese Häuser nicht mehr bewohnt, sie sind reine Touristenattraktion geworden.
