When we bought tree and shrub seedlings for our shelter belt several years ago, we lashed out and bought a Scarlet Blaze wattle as a feature. It is blossoming now, and is the first good display it has had. I remember now just why we were so besotted when we first saw it.

Pincushion hakea (Hakea laurina) and wattle (which one is this one? anyone know?) This is the first wattle to blossom, and is in the paddock beside our driveway.
