Doesn't Markus just look so Finnish there with the pine tree?

There were a few pine plantations in our area which went out of business. There are still self seeding pines growing so it's a bit of a local tradition to go and hunt for your own free range, feral Christmas tree.

A fine old tradition in rural Australia. But don't be too critical - Pinus radiata is a non-native and borderline pest tree here. It's a plantation tree for wood and pulp, and the ones by the road are seed escapees, so "liberating" a tree to become your beloved Christmas tree is generally well tolerated.
