We put them under the mother guinea at night, and by morning all were thriving. She now has 17 babies, and I found three more almost hatched, which I have put in the incubator (not much hope though)

Amazingly, our last remaining guinea hen managed to hatch a clutch of keets - 14 as well as I could count them. Stupid new phone still can't focus more than a metre, so the best I can do for now

We never thought we would get keets from a guinea sitting on eggs - they always get either snatched by a fox, or get run down and die. We decided to let her sit on the eggs anyway, and are glad we did.

Our keets are now 11 days old and their crate was way too small for them, so today we moved them out into a big cage, with a large indoor area with heat lamp and straw bedding. It is directly on the weeds and grass on the ground, within the raspberry cage, so if one gets out, it will not be fox fodder.
