Agnes the lamb likes to climb into the feeder box every evening when we feed them their ewe supplement

Butch grabs ZsaZsa and then Pamela and carries them over to the trailer.

No, we're not being rustled... it's our wonderful mate Butch Harry, come to the rescue us (AGAIN!) by giving our sheep a grassy home with his own sheep. In due course some sheep (minus wool, plus plastic wrapping) will make its way into our freezer.

Innocent looking sheep or highly skilled escape artists? Our two Perendale ewes, ZsaZsa and Pamela, and their lambs, Agnes and Arni, have eaten the grass in the sheep paddock down to the roots. And "we will NOT eat hay!" So we tried adding extra fencing wire to a second paddock, with ample grass. No go. They just did the limbo under the bottom wire (10cm from the ground) and stood in the middle of Falls Road playing chicken with milk tankers and other passing cars. what to do?

Oh, the indignity of it all!

And so ends our sheep farming career. Mason looks lovingly down at his new charges.

Mason Harry is dead keen to tackle a sheep, too, and goes for Arni.

Robert looks pleased with his sheep catching skills - he may have a budding career as a rustler.

Arni kicks up a load of rice hull dust but is soon under Mason's control.

Our Austrian WWOOFer Robert is inspired to tackle a sheep as well, and battles with a feisty Agnes.

Arni surrenders to Mason's grip, and Butch goes in to carry him to his mum and aunt in the trailer.

our stress-and-relief training has been paying off; they've gone from sheer (shear?) terror to asking for pellets in just 6 weeks
