My own favourite. Dedicated to Maarten Schellevis, and the three happy creatures he shared his life with, all of whom all loved him so much.

Went with my dear friend Karen to her fortnightly "Drawing Breath" group at her church (Ballarat Central Uniting Church), where they read scripture and then create some art from the inspiration. I felt utterly without inspiration, but was already filled with sorry and grief at the news of the suicide of my friend Marsha's husband Maarten, so I painted this sad, lonely, crippled cat, alone in the sea of red fish.
