Every year a pair of swallows lay their eggs and raise their chicks in this nest on a defunct light fitting. They're getting in early this year. It's still winter!!!

Every year a Common Starling lays its eggs in the deep hollow inside an old gate post. We still use the gate, hence the bolts you see going through the post. You can see the whole fence post in this photo (yes, under the cat!)
