The kitchen and pantry are both pretty much rat proof now. We pulled out the stove to try to fix the stinky rat situation, and found 1) the remaining rat has been eating all the expanding foam we laid along the join between floor and wall, and 2) we found said rat electrocuted in the back of the oven (outside the oven). Hopefully it was the last.

Emilie awoke to find both our cats - Zetor and Leeloo - in her room, and a rat cowering at the top of her curtain. She named him Gouda and decided to give him a second chance.
