Known as ski resort, Val d'Isere is much less busy in summer time. The "Funival" is the only funicular in Val d'Isère and provides access to a platform under the Bellevarde rock summit (ca. 2700 m). Historically, it is the first underground funicular in France. - scanned slide, Minolta X700 ----------------------------- In these very sad times, when a madman and his crazy followers destroy peace, lifes, a whole country, creating instability for decades, other issues which could be interpreted only as personal sensivities, have no place, are inappropriate.
