The machine engineering company MONTFORTS was founded in 1884 by August Monforts who was born on 18 September 1850 in Gerderath on the Lower Rhine. In the year of founding, the company has 52 employees at the works in the Kronprinzenstrasse in Mönchengladbach. (room 2)
