The production of the model LO 1114 began 1970 in the Mercedes-Benz industrial center in Virrey del Pino in the district of La Matanza. The next lake of this Argentinean lake region, the last one for a while ;-) All the recent lake photos have been taken in the "Parque Nacional Los Alerces". Alerce or Fitzroya is a monotypic genus in the cypress family. The single living species, Fitzroya cupressoides, is a tall, long-lived conifer native to the Andes mountains of southern Chile and Argentina, where it is an important member of the Valdivian temperate rain forests.
