The last three heads of the State of Cuba: Fidel Castro (Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz) was Prime Minister from 18 July 1959 to 2 December 1976 and President of the Council of State from 2 December 1976 to 24 February 2008. He is born on13 August 1926 and died on 25 November 2016. Raúl Castro (Raúl Modesto Castro Ruz) was President of the Council of State from 24 February 2008 to 19 April 2018. He is born on 3 Juni 1931. Miguel Diaz-Canel (Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez) was President of the Council of State from 19 April 2018 to 10 October 2019 and is President of the Republic since 10 October 2019. He is born on 20 April 1960.

Don't trust guidebooks! The town Guantanamo (don't confuse it with the prison "Guantanamo Bay" 25 km south) is often described as not worth to stay or to see, tourists would only travel through and even the locals would look not very happy. To the contrary it's a very nice and interesting place, well worth to visit! HFF and a safe and happy weekend, my friends ;-)
