Boarding SV Lord Lonsdale

British fully ragged steel sailing ship 'SV Lord Lonsdale' was built 1889. It had 3 masts, a tonnage of 1756 grt and was (or is) 69.1 x 12 x 7.1 m tall. Lonsdale caught fire on 6.10.1909 being on voyage from Hamburg for Mazatlan (West Coast Mexico) in Port Stanley Harbour (Falkland Islands) and was beached to extinguish the fire. It had been loaded with coal. Dynjandi (in german „der Dröhnende, Tobende“, also known as Fjallfoss) is a set of waterfalls located in the Westfjords (Vestfirðir) in Iceland. The waterfalls have a cumulative height of about 100 m and a width of 60 m. Below the falls is the mouth of the river Dynjandisá in the Borgarfjörður (Arnarfjörður).
