The obligatory summit snapshot on Cima SAT (1,246m) next to Lake Garda (Trentino, Italy). From Riva to here there are 1,220 metres of altitude to overcome, 620 of which are climbing metres. Trained climbers can do the ascent in about 4 hours (net, without photo stops). ~~~~~ Das obligatorische Gipfelfoto auf dem Cima SAT (1.246m) am Gardasee (Trentino, Italien). Von Riva bis hierher sind 1.220 Höhenmeter zu überwinden, davon 620 Klettermeter. Geübte Kletterer schaffen den Aufstieg in etwa 4 Stunden (netto, ohne Fotostopps). ~~~~~

The summit of Cima SAT (1,246m), photographed on the descent via trail No. 413. This is the longer but more beautiful option. Like the ascent, it takes about 4 hours. All in all, the hike is a day trip of about 9 hours (including breaks and photos). ~~~~~ Der Gipfel des Cima SAT (1.246m), fotografiert beim Abstieg über den Wanderweg Nr. 13. Dies ist die längere, aber schönere Variante. Wie der Aufstieg dauert sie etwa 4 Stunden. Insgesamt ist die Besteigung also eine Tagestour von rund 9 Stunden Dauer (incl. Pausen und Fotos). ~~~~~

Information board at the start of the Via Ferrata dell' Amicizia . From there it is 620 metres of climbing up (see topo below). The special feature of this climb is the very long iron ladders. They are the longest in all of Europe - never difficult, but sometimes quite airy. The route was built in 1972 to mark the centenary of the SAT (Società Alpinisti Trentini). ~~~~~ Hinweistafel am Einstieg der Via Ferrata dell' Amicizia . Von dort aus geht es 620 Klettermeter aufwärts (siehe unten abgebildete Topo). Die Besonderheit dieses Steigs sind die sehr langen Eisenleitern. Es sind die längsten in ganz Europa - nie schwer, aber teilweise recht luftig.
