The lake Achensee currently has a high water level because a lot of melt water flows in - as here via the Pletzach at Pertisau (Tyrol, Austria). In winter, however, the water level drops by up to 6 metres because the lake feeds a large hydroelectric power plant with a standard annual production of approx. 220 GWh. Tirolean hydropower, Achensee power plant ~~~~~ Der Achensee hat derzeit einen Wasser-Höchststand, weil viel Schmelzwasser zufließt - so wie hier über die Pletzach bei Pertisau (Tirol, Österreich). Historische Bahnstrecke von Jenbach im Unterinntal (Tirol) nach Seespitz am Achensee (Karwendelgebirge). Wegen der großen Steigungen in einigen Streckenabschnitten handelt es sich um eine Zahnradbahn.
