The Dose Fall near Häselgehr within the valley of Lech (Tyrol, Austria). (The waterfall rises from the small cave at the top left of the picture. It only flows from 23 April to 11 November. Naturally, many legends entwine around this peculiarity. It is scientifically assumed that it is fed by an underground meltwater lake that begins to overflow in mid-April.) ~~~~~ Der Doser Wasserfall bei Häselgehr im Lechtal (Tirol, Österreich). (Der Wasserfall entspringt aus der kleinen Höhle links oben im Bild. Es fließt nur vom 23. April bis zum 11. November. Naturgemäß ranken sich viele Sagen um diese Besonderheit. Wissenschaftlich wird vermutet, dass er aus einem unterirdischen Schmelzwassersee gespeist wird, der Mitte April überzulaufen beginnt.)

The lady's slipper orchid is on the red list and is protected throughout the EU. I captured these specimens in Martinau in Lechtal (Tyrol, Austria), where the largest preserved deposit in Europe is located. ~~~~~ Der Frauenschuh steht auf der roten Liste und ist EU-weit geschützt. Diese Exemplare habe ich in Martinau im Lechtal (Tirol, Österreich) fotografiert, wo sich das größte noch erhaltene Vorkommen in Europa befindet.
