This large puddle with the melodious name Schlossbergsee (St. Johann in Tyrol, Austria) is only an artificial reservoir for snowmaking in winter. Because it lies at 1,080 m above sea level on the northern slope of the Kitzbüheler Horn , one can experience beautiful sunsets there, which is otherwise rather difficult in the mountains. (In the background on the right the Kaiser Mountains.) ~~~~~ Diese große Pfütze mit dem wohlklingenden Namen Schlossbergsee (St. Johann in Tirol, Österreich) ist nur ein künstlicher Speichersee für die Pistenbeschneiung im Winter. Weil er auf 1.080 m Seehöhe am Nordhang des Kitzbüheler Horns liegt, kann man dort allerdings wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge erleben, was im Gebirge ansonsten eher schwierig ist.
