Typical path early in the trek high above the Budhi Gandaki. Plenty of room most of the time but a little bit of care needed when meeting oncoming mule traffic. Our group are carefully sticking close to the left hand side.

There are quite a number of impressive modern suspension bridges along the route. These save a lot of up and down but some care is needed in timing your crossing if there is a mule train approaching from the opposite direction.

In the Himalayan foothills villages will spring up wherever there is land that can be cultivated.
