Unfortunately for us the unseasonal storm before our trek started meant that the Larkya pass was still closed unless the entire group and crew had winter gear. So we had to reverse our route at Sama and return to Arughat. Fortunately the weather and views that day were both stunning.

It's taken a while but we get our first glimpse of Manaslu at Sho. Manaslu (8163m) is far left, with Naike Peak (6211m) on the right. Manaslu North (7157m) is in the centre.
