There's an old joke about tree fellas, but I won't mention it. This was a chopped pine tree, cut just at the point where six evenly spaced branches had been growing outwards. I didn't realise they were natural until I looked closely. Serious forestry clearing in readiness for the planting of Brownie Wood by local girls Brownie group at Finlaystone Country Estate, near Langbank Scotland. A shared pudding back in the summer. I reduced these lovely berries with some sugar and enjoyed them as a fruity coulis syrup over local Scottish ice cream. 17th June 2013, Bowling.
